So we FINALLY had some nice weather here in Rotterdam (I’ve only been waiting for 7 months, no biggie).
Apart from enjoying the sporadic days of sunshine, what else did we get up to in May?
We went to Paris (posts incoming!), and that was such an awesome long weekend break – we got loads of great photos and post ideas.
I wrote about our Queen’s day celebrations here in Rotterdam.
I decided to round up some of my favourite travel quotes of all time.
We partied in Amsterdam… and hung out a lot in Rotterdam. I’ve been working at my (relatively) new job, which is an unfortunate necessity to fund more travel adventures. Can anyone rub the location independent genie lamp for me?
At the moment we have locked in travel plans to go to Italy for a few weeks in August, and head to Oktoberfest to visit some friends in Munich and PARTY with the delicious German brews. Give me some of that Bavarian Purity Law please.
I’m currently working on a big project (well it’s big for me) that’s related to online stuff, I’m keeping it close to my chest at this point but it’s something that is proving to be quite a resource suck. I’m trying to balance my time so all my projects remain chugging along at appropriate and content relevant speeds – but sometimes it’s a bit of a juggling act!
As always, you can follow myself and Trudy on Instagram: activebackpacker & trudyflorence
I’m pretty excited for June because the Euro 2012 is on – it’s as big as the world cup over here. All the big names get together in the clash of the football giants. It’s the other time apart from Queen’s Day when the Dutch bust out all their orange gear!
I’m looking forward to soaking in the football loving atmosphere with some top class games and a few beers with some Dutch friends.
Don’t forget to look forward to my birthday!!
And of course Trudy’s birthday 😉
