Brussels Flea Markets & Antique Eye-Candy

You may have already read that we loved Brussels and had a great time there. The atmosphere, the people and the beer are three reasons off the bat that I can recommend you add Brussels to your no-doubt already inflated European itinerary.

On our last trip there we were headed out for a final afternoon in Brussels and stopped in at the Brussels Flea Markets which is bang in the middle of funky streets exploding with vintage & antique shopping delights.

When are the Flea Markets held?

Guess what bric-a-brac fans? Lucky for you the Vossplein flea markets are held everyday of the year from 6am to 2pm (and run a bit longer on weekends).

Where are the Brussels Flea Markets and Antique Stores?

The best area for a spot of flea market bargain hunting and antiquish eye candy is around the area of Marolles. Originally it was the area for the “working class citizen” so now it is sprouting with charm and character. Cafes sprinkle the area between the vintage clothes shops and the little warehouses of antique goodness.

The markets are located in the Vossplein square, head towards Place du Jeu de Balle and Vossenplein and you won’t miss it.

If you walk up from the Vossplein square where the markets are and along the road Blaesstraat you will run into numerous antique stores. Around here is the area of Marolles and there are a bunch of fun shops to explore.
