Instagram Roundup: The Italian Special
So we went to Italy. It was awesome.
Trudy snapped a bunch of glorious snaps on the Canon SLR – lots of Italian content to come of course. Check out the post we’ve already done on the world heritage listed Cinque Terre though!
In the last few months we explored the Kinderdijk.
We talked about things to do and our experiences in Split as well as a beautiful photo essay on Dubrovnik.
One of the Active Backpacker reader’s submitted the first Reader Tale about their home country of Indonesia and a trip to the stunning island of Karimun Jawa.
Don’t forget the European rail showdown between the two big boys in the industry.
Anyway, nothing beats Instagram for the fun and quick travel snaps on the go, and that’s what this roundup is all about (Italian style of course).
A taste and a glimpse of Italy through the eyes of our iPhones (we’re still only on a 3G and a 3GS as well – old school for the win!).

As you can see, there was lots of delicious Italian food, creamy and fruity cold gelati and warm sunny days. History buffs will be in heaven too. Definitely get to Italy if you’re planning a big European adventure!
I’ll be going back sometime, there’s still lots to explore – especially the beautiful countryside!

That photo of Lisa looking out over the boat and water is amazeballs. So fifties!!
Great photos. I can’t believe the statue of David was outside. When I was in Florence in was inside and behind glass. Italy is majestic, one of my favorite countries hands down.
Thanks Stephen – actually the statue outside is an exact replica and not the real thing. The real statue is still inside and behind glass (although it would be nice if it were outside for all to see!).
How did you add the writing over your photos? Very cool effect that makes already good pictures even better.
