The small city of Zierikzee is pretty fascinating with a history rich in trading and wealth. It’s a great spot to snap a real ‘Dutch’ photo and with its lovely port and the church, old gates and mills that surround the city.

The short answer to this post title is yes. English really is the world language and if you were lucky enough to be born as a native speaker of this tongue then backpacking and travelling just got that little bit easier. It’s time to bust out my MS paint skills (which are relatively non existent) and take a look at some of the fine characters you can meet whilst backpacking.
