Ah, Oktoberfest…Imagine beer halls with sturdy long wooden tables inside giant tents decorated wildly, gaudily or with a sense of efficient class that only the Germans could manage. Delicious local beers in huge one litre jugs whiz by, carried by buxom German waiters, some managing more than 10 litre ‘steins’ in one load.
